John Corbett (born John Josephy Corbett, Jr. on May 9, 1961 in Wheeling, West Virginia) is an American actor and country music singer. John was raised by his mother win Wheeling, attending Wheeling Central Catholic High school until his graduation in 1979. He then moved to California to work at a steel factory, until he got injured. He then enrolled into Cerritos College in Norwalk, California, taking acting classes and learning hairdressing. John landed a Samsung commercial in the mid-‘80s, kicking of his career. His first major role came in 1988, starring as Karen Arnold’s boyfriend on an episode of The Wonder Years. Since then, John has co-starred in three successful television series: Northern Exposure, from 1990-95; Sex and the City, 2001-02; and United States of Tara, 2009-11. John’s film credits include Tombstone, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Messengers and Raise Your Voice, with Hilary Duff. John had a recurring role on Parenthood in 2011, and appeared in two episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles. John has pursued a career in music, releasing his self-titled country album in 2006. Its only singer, “Good To Go,” debuted at No. 48 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.In 2015, he joined the cast of Dennis Leary‘s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.
