John Boyega (born March 17, 1992 in Peckham, London, England) is a British actor. John began acting at a young age, playing a leopard in a play at the age of 5. He attended the Westminster City school as a teenager, taking part in various school theatrical productions. He took classes at Theatre Peckham before enrolling to the South Thames College in Wandsworth as a performing arts student. John’s theatrical career continued with roles in plays Six Parties at the National Theatre and in Category B in the Tricycle Theatre. John made the leap to film in 2011, starring in the sci-fi film Attack The Block. In 2014, John was announced as the role of Finn in the film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
