Hayley Williams (born Hayley Nichole Williams on December 27, 1988 in Meridian, Mississippi) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. Hayley’s parents split up in 2002 and she moved to Franklin, Tennessee. Hayley was discovered in 2003 and signed to a record deal with Atlantic. While the company wanted Hayley to be a solo act, she wanted to play in a pop punk band. She, along Jeremy Davis and brothers Josh and Zac Farro, formed Paramore. The band’s 2005 debut was released through Fueled By Ramen, a label imprint. They released their second album, Riot! In 2007, Brand New Eyes in 2009 and their fourth, self-titled release in 2013. In 2007, Hayley finished second in the Kerrang! Reader’s Poll for “Sexiest Female.” She won the category from 2008-2012. Though she had a solo song on the soundtrack to 2009’s Jennifer’s Body, she has stated she has no plans to be a solo artist. Hayley has collaborated with rapper B.o.B. and EDM artist Zedd. In 2013, Hayley announced she was partnering with MAC cosmetics for the release of a new makeup collection. She appeared as “Crimson Curse” in the 2015 music video for Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.”

She is open about her Christian faith but she has been critical of the judgmental nature of those within her religion’s community. Since 2008, she has been involved with New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert. They were engaged in December 2014.
