Bio:
Fred Armisen (born Freyedun Robert Armisen on December 4, 1966 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi) is an American actor, voice actor, singer, musician and comedian. Fred’s family moved to Manhattan, New York City, when he was a baby and he grew up in Valley Stream, New York. Fred attended the School of Visual Arts before dropping out to start a career as a rock drummer . In 1988, Fred moved to Chicago to play in the punk band, Trenchmouth. During the 1990s, he played background drums for the Blue Man Group in Chicago. Fred began pursuing his interests in acting during the 1990s, leading to some notable appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Crank Yankers and Adult Swim. Fred would successfully land a role as a featured player on Saturday Night Live in 2002. In 2004, he was promoted to repertory cast member, and he would stay with the program until 2013. During the show, he was known for his impressions of Steve Jobs, Prince, Ira Glass and New York State Governor David Paterson. Fred and Carrie Brownstein (of Sleater-Kinney) launched Portlandia, a sketch-comedy show, in 2011. Seth has also appeared in films like Anchorman, Deck the Halls, EuroTrip and The Dictator. In 2014, Fred became the bandleader of the 8G Band, the house band for Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Personal Life:
Fred’s father was born in Germany to a Japanese Father and a German mother. His mother is from Venezuela. Fred was married to British singer and songwriter, Sally Timms, from 1998 to 2004. He and Elizabeth Moss were also married, from 2009 to 2011. As of 2016, he is in a relationship with actress Natasha Lyonne.
