Elon Musk (born Elon Reeve Musk on June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa) is a South African-born Canadian-American business mogul, engineer, inventor and investor. Elon’s mother is a model from Regina, Saskatchewan and his father is a South African-born engineer. After his parents divorced, Elon lived in South Africa, discovering a love of computing at age 10. After teaching himself computer programing at age 12, he used the code to create a video game called Blastar that he sold for $500 American dollars. He obtained Canadian citizenship through his mother around his 18th birthday, and enrolled in Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania graduating with two degrees. He moved to California to begin a PhD program at Stanford, but dropped out to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations with the Internet. Elon and his brother started Zip2, a software company he sold in 1999. He received $22 millions dollars from the sale. He co-founded X.com, which merged with another company to transform into Paypal. Though Elon was ousted from his role as CEO, he received $165 million when Paypal was bought by eBay. Elon’s latest interests include Tesla Motors, a new generation of electric cars, and SpaceX, a private space travel company.

Elon married his first wife, Justine Wilson, in 2000. They divorced in 2008, after having six sons together – Nevada Alexander, twins Griffin and Xavier, and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai. Sadly, Nevada died from SIDS at 10 weeks. After the divorce, Elon began dating Talulah Riley. In 2010, they were married but in 2012, Elon announced his divorce. Elon and Talulah remarried in July 2013, but he filed for a second divorce in 2014. Elon changed his mind and withdrew the divorce papers, but in March 2016, Talulah filed to break-up from him.
