Bette’s family was one of the few Jewish families in a mostly Asian neighborhood in Honolulu growing up. Bette married artist Martin von Haselberg about six weeks after meeting him. They have one daughter, Sophie Frederica Alohilani Von Haselberg, who was born in November of 1986.
Bette Midler stepped in for Emily Blunt when it came to ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ Best Song contender at the 2019 Oscars. The entertainment icon absolutely crushed her performance of ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go.’
Uh, what? Bette Midler found herself in some hot water after using ‘the n-word’ as a way to describe women as ‘the most disrespected creatures on Earth.’ Some people, especially African-Americans, were upset at this.
Few can argue that there is a more wickedly awesome witch than Bette Midler’s Winifred Sanderson in ‘Hocus Pocus.’ That’s probably because Bette herself has never had more fun shooting a film. Check out this clip of Bette gushing over how ‘flawless’ she is in the Halloween classic.
Slay, Bette Midler! The actress completely stole the show during her annual Halloween bash on Oct. 28, by dressing as her ‘Hocus Pocus’ character Winifred Sanderson! Rocking a sky-high orange wig, buck teeth and spooky ensemble, she definitely OWNED the night! See the pic!
