The country music community is absolutely devastated after learning that Craig Morgan’s son, Jerry Greer, is dead after a boating accident on July 10. See which country stars have publicly sent love to the singer in the wake of this horrifying tragedy.
Craig Morgan, 51, and his family are obviously heartbroken after the death of their son, Jerry Greer, 19. But, hopefully, all the thoughts, prayers and love from fellow country singers, like Brad Paisley and Kelsea Ballerini, have helped to lift the Greers’ spirits, even if just a little bit. See tweets from country stars who’ve supported Craig following this devastating loss.
The 19-year-old was boating with friends when the tube he was riding in reportedly collided with another in the middle of the lake. Although Jerry was wearing a life vest, he didn’t resurface after the crash, and the incident is being considered a “freak accident.”
“Jerry planned to play football for Marshall University in the fall,” Black River Entertainment confirmed. “The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss. Jerry is survived by parents Craig and Karen Greer, sister Aly Beaird and brother-in-law Ryan Beaird, brother Kyle Greer and fiance Chelsea Rogers and brother Wyatt Greer.”
Craig has not publicly spoken out about this devastating tragedy at this time, but the country music community has come together to mourn for their fellow star and his family. See what other well-known singers are saying on Twitter here:
