Rosie O’Donnell has welcomed another child into her big family — a baby girl named Dakota! The comedian, who welcomed the baby with her wife Michelle Rounds, announced the arrival of their bundle of joy via her Instagram account on Jan. 9.

“We r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN” Rosie wrote along with the pic. No other details about the birth were available.

Rosie O’Donnell Marries Michelle Rounds Quietly

Rosie and Michelle tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in July after Michelle was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a very rare disease that affects three in one million people. The couple got engaged in December 2011 and had planned a wedding in August, but moved it up after they learned of Michelle’s illness.

“It is such a rare tumor. It took them quite a while to get an accurate diagnosis,” Rosie’s rep Cindi Berger told People magazine at the time. “She had several gastrointestinal surgeries to remove the desmoid turmors. She is now on the road to recovery.”

The arrival of their baby is a surprise as well — neither woman announced that they were planning on adding another to their family!

Rosie and her ex, Kelli Carpenter, have four kids: Parker Jaren, 17, Chelsea Belle, 15, Blake Christopher, 13, and Vivienne Rose, 10.

Rosie O’Donnell is tying the knot once again. The 49-year-old talk show host is getting married to her partner, Michelle Rounds, this Christmas, she told her Rosie Show audience Dec. 3.

Rosie and Michelle — a headhunter in New York City — first went public as a couple in September and a friend close to Rosie told US Weekly Michelle “is very attractive and friendly. Rosie was really proud and showing her off… They seem really happy.”

This is Rosie’s second marriage. She has four kids with her ex-wife of three years, Kelli Carpenter.

Rosie O’Donnell will take over Oprah’s Chicago studio, and her program will air on the OWN Network

After 25-years of daytime television domination, Oprah Winfrey is passing the torch to Rosie O’Donnell. Oprah’s last episode will shoot on May 25, and then Rosie will move into the Chicago-based Harpo Studio and shoot her new, hour-long talk show.

“I’m delighted to welcome Rosie to the studio I’ve called home for so many years,” announced Oprah who will also be airing Rosie’s show on her new cable network.

Rosie has had a long career in the spotlight as a comedian, actress, activist, and television personality, and is glad to be taking back the reigns of talkshow television. Harpo Studios has worked with daytime heavy-hitters like Oprah, Dr. Phil, and Rachel Ray.

“Harpo is a world class studio and I can’t wait to do my show from Chicago,” Rosie said in a statement. “It’s a dream come true.”

Rosie O’Donnell has gotten herself into a lot of feuds with her controversial opinions, so it will be interesting to see how well she can follow in Oprah’s footseteps. We can’t wait for Rosie O’Donnell to head back to the talk show stage. She’s been focusing on her Sirius XM radio show “Rosie Radio,” but she will leave in June to start work on her OWN network talk show. Between that and being a mom, she’s going to be one busy woman!

In 2004, Rosie married her partner Kelli Carpenter two weeks after San Francisco granted same-sex marriage licenses. They adopted three children together, Parker, 15, Chelsea, 13, and Blake, 11, and then through artificial insemination, Kelli gave birth to daughter Vivienne, 8.

Rosie and Kelli have since separated and now Rosie is seeing Texas-based artist, Tracy Kachtick-Anders. We hope she has a wonderful birthday with the whole family!

Rosie says she and her teen daughter, Chelsea, 13, watch the show together!

Rosie O’Donnell, 48, was asked about the Teen Mom franchise yesterday in an interview with UsMagazine.com, and surprisingly, this mom of four LIKES the show! “At the end of almost every episode the mothers says they wish they used protection or waited,” Rosie says. “(They say) ‘My whole life is over,’ or ‘I can’t live the life of a teenager.’ I think it sends out a positive message.” Not according to Kim Kardashian! She blasted Teen Mom last week, saying, “Girls, these are not people you should idolize!” 

Rosie went on to say, ”I have to say it’s interesting. My daughter is 13. I watch it with her.” Rosie was talking about her daughter Chelsea, whom she adopted and co-parents with her ex, Kelli Carpenter. “I think the fantasy for adopted children is to have a baby of their own, and then keeping it, which their mother did not do.”

Could Rosie be trying to start a feud with Kim Kardashian to publicize her upcoming new show on Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN network?

Rosie is A-OK with Shiloh wearing boys’ swimming trunks! Are YOU?

A recent photo of 4-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt wearing boys swim trunks while swimming with her siblings in Berkley, Calif., sparked a frenzy of opinions on whether Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s first biological daughter ought to be dressing like the opposite sex. The latest person to weigh in on Shiloh’s tomboyish ways is Rosie’ O’Donnell, who when asked on her blog “Do U think Shiloh Pitt should be allowed to wear boy’s swimming trunks in public pool?” gave an emphatic “yes.”

Shiloh doesn’t seem to care what people, celeb or otherwise, have to say about her outfits. As mom Angelina told Vanity Fair last month, Shiloh “wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”

Maybe sis Zahara opts for frilly dresses, but Shiloh seems to want to stick to her boyish style and dress like dad Brad Pitt, and mom Angelina isn’t interested in forcing her to do anything she doesn’t want to do. “It’s not my choice.,” Angelina told Grazia. “I have a very strong-willed four-year-old girl, who tells me what she wants to wear and I let her be who she is. I think people think kids should be a certain way, but I feel they should wear what they feel like wearing and they should express themselves. Shiloh cried one night and said, ‘Please cut my hair off. I don’t want to have long hair.’ I’m not going to leave it long because somebody thinks I should.”

In an attention-grabbing deal for the new Oprah Winfrey network, Rosie O’Donnell will be hosting a talk show at some point after the network’s launch in January. But can throwing two of the biggest media personalities in the mixing pot together really be a good idea?

When you think of the greatest female talk show hosts of all time, both Rosie and Oprah immediately come to mind, but they may just be too big to be together.

From 1996 to 2002, Rosie hosted the daytime talk show The Rosie O’Donnell Show during which she won six consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for best talk show. She then moved on for a stint as Meredith Viera’s replacement on The View.

Rosie has famously had a problem getting along with others. Her time on The View started out splendidly but ultimately ended in tears, fights and a relieved Barbara Walters who all but sung from the rooftops that she was happy to see Rosie go. Drama aside, Rosie brought about a 27% ratings increase for the daytime show.

OWN promises “fans can anticipate a fun, uplifting show with Ms. O’Donnell’s playful and energetic style.”

No word on how much involvement Oprah will have in the development of the show, if she is going to have any at all. Rosie plans to tape in New York City where she lives with her kids.

Rosie on OWN could very well result in the greatest lady partnership of all time, or it could be an explosive pairing of two outsized personalities.

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb did an incredibly brave thing today: They spent the entirety of their Today Show hour without any makeup.

That’s not to say that they weren’t nervous about the whole thing beforehand. “I kept waking up in the middle of the night,” Hoda, 45, said. “I didn’t think this was a big deal until I realized that I don’t even go running without lipstick on — because you never know who you’re going to see.”

“I feel like it’s the dumbest thing we’ve ever done,” Kathie Lee, 56, agreed.

It all started with a challenge from Rosie O’Donnell. Rosie, who is friends with Kathie Lee, accused her friend of having plastic surgery. Thus “No Makeup Day” was born, and Kathie Lee was able to look directly at the camera and say, “Look for scars, baby.”

In a taped segment aired this morning, Ann Curry, Natalie Morales and Meredith Vieira also appeared sans foundation; and Today Show style editor Bobbie Thomas, 35, and correspondent Sara Haines, 32, also didn’t conceal anything from the high-definition cameras.

And finally, for Kathie Lee, vindication: Rosie admitted that she was wrong. “Apparently I said I thought she had plastic surgery … I believe her if she said she didn’t” O’Donnell said.

Kudos to you brave gals, you are an inspiration! (Just don’t make us do it!)
