Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, who is rumored to be pregnant, reportedly stiffed a waiter in Rome while enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner on their honeymoon! What a cheapskate!

Mark, 28, and his new bride, 27, dined on fried zucchini blossoms, a plate of sea bass and tomato ravioli at Nonna Betta. While the tab came to 32 euros, $40, Mark managed to leave zero percent on the bill!

Surprisingly, the restaurant owner Umberto Pavoncello managed to defend the media tycoon. “They were really in love, eating from the same plate of ravioli,” he shared with the Italian media. Umberto loved having the famous couple so much that he’s interested in renaming a dish after Mark! “I am seriously considering renaming the fiori di zucca — deep-fried courgette flowers — on the menu as fiori di Zuckerberg.”

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony just last weekend, proving that the couple is so down-to-earth — and just days after saying ‘I do,’ the new bride was spotted at lunch in Palo Alto, where she showed off her wedding ring for the very first time. Given Mark’s new status as a billionaire, Priscilla could easily rock a ring that would rival Kim Kardashian‘s — but that wasn’t the case! Instead, the new Mrs. Zuckerberg debuted a modest ruby ring on her finger.

Mark designed the ring himself and presented it to his bride during the ceremony in the couple’s Palo Alto backyard. The only information out about the ring is that it’s a, “very simple ruby.” While many are quick to say the brand-new billionaire cheaped out on his girlfriend of nine years, he could have selected the ruby for it’s sentimental value, especially within the Asian culture. This wouldn’t be surprising, considering the couple hosted food from their favorite local restaurants and the very same dessert the duo feasted on on their first date during their wedding reception.

While a ruby widely represents passion and love, it’s also a sign of wisdom — and it’s held in high esteem in Asian countries. The precious stone was once used to adorn the armor of Indian and Chinese noblemen. It’s said rubies are even beneath the foundation of buildings in Asia, to bring good fortune.

Despite their new-found fortune, the couple is incredibly down-to-earth — and they didn’t splurge on their reception, either! The bride walked down the aisle in a $4,700 dress, and the meals from the local Mexican restuarant cost an estimated $7 per plate — while the desserts were priced at $3 a piece.

I’m sure Mark’s new wife, who is American-Chinese, truly appreciated the sentiment behind her new wedding bling — although I doubt any woman would be disappointed if she were presented with an exquisite diamond!

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are a very private couple, but fans and Facebook got a rare glimpse into their lives over the weekend. Mark posted a photo to his Facebook page of himself and his girlfriend of nine years from their surprise wedding ceremony. But a body language expert tells the UK’s Daily Mail that they look a bit “awkward.”

“The bride looks much keener to create a more traditional display here, with her head tilted towards his or her torso tucked in towards him,” body language expert Judi James says. “Otherwise, on the surface they could almost look awkward enough to be strangers.”

Judi goes on to say why Mark might appear so uncomfortable on his big day: Despite being one of the world’s richest and most powerful men he poses and dresses here as though he’s been pressed into looking and acting right on the day, but shyness plus a bit of rebelliousness might have taken over.”

Friends of the couple thought they’d be attending a party celebrating Priscilla’s medical school graduation but it was actually a double celebration! But don’t worry, Judi reveals that these two are very in love!

“The couple’s entwined fingers suggest subtle affection. For all their awkwardness, actually these two are entirely devoted.”

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg may have just become a billionaire thanks to his company going public on May 18, but now he has a brand new reason to celebrate — he’s married!

Mark, 28, wed his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan on May 19, PEOPLE reports. The ceremony took place in their backyard Palo Alto, Calif., and was attended by less than 100 guests.

The couple may have been together for more than nine years, but guests thought they were just coming over to celebrate Priscilla’s recent graduation from medical school.

In reality, the couple had been planning the nuptials for four months. Mark even designed her ruby ring by himself — how cute.
