Bio:
Steve Doocy (born Stephen James Doocy on October 19, 1956 in Algona, Iowa) is a television personality for the Fox News Channel. He was raised in Kansas, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism. As a news anchor, Steve anchored on numerous different networks, including WCBS-TV in New York City, Wake Up America on NBC, and even his own nationally syndicated series House Party With Steve Doocy. Steve joined Fox News in 1996, and in 2004 he launched their New Years Eve special, All American New Year. Over the course of his career, Steve has also published two books (“The Mr. and Mrs. Happy Handbook” and “Tales From the Dad Side”), both about family life.
Best Known For:
Steve is best known for being a television personality on Fox News, and a correspondent on Fox & Friends. On July 6, 2016, Steve was accused of sexual harassment and gender discrimination by fellow correspondent Gretchen Carlson. In the lawsuit documents filed by Gretchen, she claims that she made complaints to a supervisor about Steve’s alleged behavior but they went ignored time and time again.
Personal Life:
Steve married Kathy Gerrity in 1986, and they have three children together: Peter, Mary, and Sally. Peter followed in his fathers footsteps and is now a reporter for Fox News. It is also reported that Steve serves as a lector at his church.
