Were the writers tired of coming up with new dialogue and scenes, so they just stole from earlier seasons?
The latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy starts with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) wondering what if things had been different. What if she had a mother who was alive and a father who cared? Conveniently, she fell asleep and dreamed of this alternate reality, where everything had changed– and yet, ultimately was still the same. But while I appreciated the idea that these characters were always set for a certain path no matter what — the execution was incredibly sloppy.

Dr. Catherine Avery showed up at Seattle Grace to perform the very interesting surgery and I thought for sure she and Mark made a connection!
Grey’s Anatomy reached a new high (or low) with their big patient case this week — a man who had his penis removed due to cancer and needed a new one. But at least there was only one instance of Derek (Patrick Dempsey) sucking.

Meanwhile, the residents get their first lead surgeries, which ends with Derek and Meredith fighting in the O.R.!

Chyler Leigh‘s character Dr. Lexie Grey has always seemed the most put together out of the Grey’s Anatomy cast — the only questionable act she has ever committed was changing her hair from brunette to blonde in season six — but that’s all about to change in the upcoming seventh season! Lexie “ends up having a complete breakdown and having to go into the psych ward,” Chyler shared during a Sept. 8 conference call for her new Lifetime movie, The 19th Wife.
