Bio:
Tim Curry (born Timothy James Curry on April 19, 1946 in Grappenhall, United Kingdom) is an English actor, singer, composer, who has starred in hundreds of different roles during his time in Hollywood. Although he is usually cast as a villain in most roles, including his characters in Annie (1982) and Clue (1985). Tim got his start on the stage, but expanded to film, television, and even voice acting as his career continued to skyrocket. He won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1991 for his voice acting role in Peter Pan and the Pirates, and on June 7, 2015, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tony’s.
Best Known For:
Tim is best known for his iconic role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
Personal Life:
Tim has never been married and has no children. Sadly, in May 2013 the longtime actor suffered from a stroke that left him with difficulty speaking. When he accepted his Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tony’s in 2015, Tim arrived in a wheelchair and looked nearly unrecognizable.
