Bio:
Steve Buscemi (born Steven Vincent Buscemi in Brooklyn, New York, on December 13, 1957) is an actor, writer and director. He has starred in a variety of popular films, including Reservoir Dogs, Big Fish and The Big Lebowski and is the voice of Randall Boggs in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University films. He often collaborates with The Coen Brothers. Buscemi has also directed several television show episodes for The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie and 30 Rock, among others. Buscemi currently stars in the television series Boardwalk Empire. He has received a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award and two Emmy nominations for his role as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, a powerful but corrupt political figure.

Personal Life:
Buscemi is a former New York City firefighter, having served with Engine Company No. 55. On 9/11, he volunteered with his old fire house and worked 12-hour shifts for one week, aiding others in finding missing firefighters. He was arrested in 2003 after a protest of the closing of the Engine 55 firehouse. He has since starred and narrated in a 2014 documentary for HBO called A Good Job: Stories of the FDNY in which he looks back at his firefighting career and shares the stories of his fellow firefighters. Buscemi is married to choreographer Jo Andres, with whom he has a son, Lucian.
