Malcolm-Jamal Warner (born on August 18, 1970 in Jersey City, New Jersey) was an American actor and singer. He was most widely known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, which starred Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. He also starred on Malcolm & Eddie and Reed Between The Lines and guest-starred on American Horror Story: Freak Show as Angus T. Jefferson. Malcolm-Jamal won a Grammy in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance. He later played Al “A.C.” Cowlings on The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Personal Life:
Malcolm-Jamal dated Family Matters star Michelle Thomas. She also played his girlfriend Justine on The Cosby Show. He was at her bedside when she died of cancer in 1998. He was in a relationship with actress Karen Malina White for seven and a half years. Malcolm-Jamal also dated Regina King from 2011 to 2013.
Malcolm died at the age of 54 in July 2025 while vacationing in Costa Rica with his family. Multiple outlets reported that he died from an accidental drowning.
