James Matthews (born 1976 in London, England) is Pippa Middleton‘s fiance. James attended the posh Uppingham school growing up as his father is a multi-millionaire car trader. He skipped going to University to go directly into finance as a trader.He eventually founded his own firm Eden Rock Capital Management in 1999 than went on to become worth billions. James also made millions off of lucrative investments in the London Real Estate market. He began dating Pippa in Sept. 2015 after briefly dating her in 2012. The couple became engaged on July 16, 2016.

Personal Life:
Jame achieved early fame racing on the formula Renault auto circuit. In 1994 when he was 18 years-old, he won the British and European Formula Renault championship before turning his professional aspirations from racing cars to finance. James is an avid extreme athlete like Pippa, competing in 55 mile swim/runs and 33 mile cross-country ski races. His younger brother Michael died in 1999 descending from the summit of Mt. Everest while his other younger brother Spencer is a wild child reality star from the UK’s Made In Chelsea. James dated Pippa for 10 months before popping the question on July 16, 2016, but not before asking her father Michael’s permission for her hand in marriage first.
