Megan Fox, 34, is not making it a secret that her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, 30, is the best she’s ever had — no matter who reads the interview! The Transformers actress called her romance with the punk rock star and actor a “once in a lifetime thing,” and said they have a connection of “mythic proportions” in her boyfriend’s cover story for NYLON, published on Nov. 17.
“Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire,” Megan went on to explain, and the magazine noted she was “laughing” as she said this. The actress continued, “The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude.”
The Jennifer’s Body star recalled the moment MGK had stolen her heart. It happened while they both found themselves in the same room on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, a crime thriller directed by Randall Emmett that Megan and MGK are both starring in. The movie began shooting in Puerto Rico in March of 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the crew to postpone filming; it resumed in July, but was halted again in September after two film crew members tested positive for COVID-19.
“I looked into his eyes [and] I felt the most pristine, most gentle, most pure spirit. My heart shattered immediately and I just knew that I was fu–ed,” Megan recalled while reminiscing on that fateful moment on the movie set. MGK shared a similar story before this cover story, telling Howard Stern on his radio show in September, “I didn’t know what [love] was until me and [Megan] made eye contact…That’s when I was like, ‘Whoa’.” The music artist, whose real name is Colson Baker, confirmed that he did “did fall in love for the first time.”
Megan’s latest interview comment comes nearly three weeks after she publicly called out her ex, Brian Austin Green, for posting a Halloween photo with their four-year-old son Journey. Megan accused the Beverly Hills, 90210 star — whom she also shares her other sons sons Bodhi, 6, and Noah, 8, with — of being “so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.”
Megan also made sure to point out that Brian gets the children “half of the time” (not all the time), and the actor silently responded by taking down the original photo and uploading a cropped version with their son removed. We learned that MGK also stood by Megan’s decision to scold her ex online! “Colson completely supports Megan in whatever decision she makes, especially when it comes to her children,” a source close to the singer EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. “He knows that Megan is incredibly protective over her kids and he doesn’t care what lengths she’ll have to go to in order to do what she feels is in their best interest.”
Megan tied the knot with Brian in 2010, but filed for divorce in 2015. Although they didn’t go through with the divorce, the reconciliation only lasted a few more years; by May of 2020, the parents announced their split. Just short of two days later, Megan made a surprise cameo in MGK’s steamy music video for “Bloody Valentine” — and the rest is history!
