Cardi B‘s new Reebok shoes will have you making money moves! The “WAP” rapper, 28, is just one day away from the November 13th release of her anticipated footwear collection. — Until then, we’ll be gushing over new sexy photos from the partnership. Take a look, below!
Cardi is an athleisure queen in the campaign photos, one of which shows the Grammy-winner lounging in red and black Reebok threads. She exposes her massive peacock thigh tattoo in a pair of tiny shorts, along with a track jacket and sports bra. Cardi, who rocks a red wig in the promo pic, models her new Club C sneakers in red. Her usual long, pointed nails were on full display, and matched the red theme, of course.
Another campaign photo shows Cardi sitting on a blue and silver bedazzled washer and dryer while wearing her new kicks in white. The “Money” rapper dons a wavy black wig with a half-up, half-down hairstyle. As for her look? — Cardi’s pictured in a pair of two-tone sweats and a matching top. This time, her nails matched the blue and white theme!
The head-turning collection consists of two new takes on Reebok’s iconic Club C sneaker — a white-tennis shoe the brand first launched in 1984. Cardi and Reebok revamped the throwback shoe in three color-ways (red, black and white) to create the Club C Cardi sneaker and the Cardi Coated Club C Double. The new take on the old shoe includes a futuristic design with a shiny, gel bottom.
Cardi told HollywoodLife‘s sister publication, Footwear News that the collection took “nearly a year” to develop. It comes in both women’s and kids’ sizes. Cardi became the face of Reebok in 2018, and joined the brand’s star-studded list of partners, including model Gigi Hadid, former Spice Girl and famed designer Victoria Beckham, singer Khalid, Houston Texans player J.J. Watt, and NBA legend Allen Iverson.
Ahead of the sneaker drop, Cardi and Reebok gifted some of her celebrity friends with the new kicks, including Lala Anthony, Kehlani and Justine Skye. On November 9, Cardi took to Instagram to preview the press gift, and it’s something only she would create. The lavish package includes a massive tongue-shaped trunk, which houses the shoes, and a fuzzy pink carpet. The Cardi B x Reebok collection is available for sale on Friday, November 13.
