The makeup artist reveals that both women were introduced to the Clarisonic Mia 2 on set of their film The Help and they can’t stop raving about it. Their skincare secret weapon comes just in time for the February 26 Oscars for which Viola Davis is nominated for Best Actress and Octavia Spencer is nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Find out what they have to say about the beauty tool.

“I found the brush easy to use and felt as if I had an expensive facial afterwards,” says Viola.

“I love it! My skin feels like newborn baby skin,” says Octavia. “My pores are shrinking. Love it.”

Many celebs have come out with their rave reviews of the Clarisonic, and the Mia 2 is the most recent launch for the company. The product uses an oscillating movement to unblock pores, preventing the lack of oxygen to the pore from combining with bacteria to cause pimples. The original Clarisonic is a bit larger than its small Mia sister and the Mia 2 has two speeds and a brush head specifically for acne-prone skin.

'The Help' Star Octavia Spencer Says: This Film Will Inspire You To Be The Best Person You Can Be!

The film takes place in the 60s, but the message crosses all generations and Octavia believes there’s still more work to be done where racism is concerned.

Octavia Spencer says if you’ve ever felt like an outsider then go see The Help. The film stars Emma Stone [Skeeter], a young girl in Mississippi who decides to tell the real stories of black maids in her town. HollywoodLife.com spoke with Octavia, who plays Minny Jackson, one of the main maids in the film and she says The Help will make you want to “stand up for what you believe in.”

“I hope that people first see the civil rights aspect for what it is a back drop and appreciate it,” Octavia says. “Making a statement of how far we’ve come and still have more work to do. These three woman from culturally different backgrounds form these relationships that changed their lives and their community. It’s about finding your voice and standing up for what you believe in.”

The film is based on Kathryn Stockett‘s best-selling book, and it’s directed by Octavia’s long-time friend Tate Taylor.

“I met Tate in 1995 when we did ‘A Time To Kill’, and our friendship blossomed,” she says. “Tate always told us about Kathryn. I remember her saying she was writing a book and five years later she finished the book and called me and said that she loosely based one of the characters on me. So I read the book and realized that the short chubby woman was me!”
