In 2007, she also joined season four of The Biggest Loser as the host, replacing Caroline Rhea. In the ’90s, Alison was very open with her struggle with weight and wrote a tell-all memoir in 2004, All The Days of My Life (So Far). In 2013, she wrote her first novel, The Star Attraction, and her second, Scared Scriptless: A Novel, came out the following year. In January 2014, she announced she was exiting Days of our Lives, and then in July, she announced she would be joining General Hospital behind the camera, as a director.
