Matt’s first gig was in a 1987 Heinz Tomato Ketchup commercial. Just one year laterĀ he starred in the television drama TV 101 for a single season.Ā He went on to star in Top of the Heap, a spin-offĀ of Married… with children. However, the FoxĀ series only lasted seven episodes airing in April and May 1991. Matt caught his big breakĀ as Joey Tribbiani on the hit sitcom Friends. The show ran for 10 years but Matt played Joey for a total of 12, as he starred in a spin-off of Friends called Joey from 2004 to 2006. Matt has also appeared in the films Lookin’ Italian (1994), Ed (1996), Lost in Space (1998), Charlie’s Angels (2000), and All the Queen’s Men (2001). In 2012 Matt won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Comedy for his performance in Episodes. Episodes, a BBC/Showtime television series, was a show that Matt started appearing in in 2011. On the show he played a fictional version of himself. In 2015 Matt appeared in Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour during her performance of her hit single “Style.” He appeared onstage along with Sean O’Pry and Chris Rock.

Matt LeBlanc married Melissa McKnight, a former model, in 2003 after being introduced to her a year prior. They have a daughter together named Mariana who was born in 2004. Matt and Melissa separated in 2006 and in March of that same year, Matt filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. After their divorce became final in October 2006, Matt began dating actress Andrea Anders after the two met while filming Joey. However in 2015, it was confirmed that the couple had split.
