“Tonight’s question goes to Matt [LeBlanc]. Matt, who’d you rather? Monica or Rachel?” Lady Gaga said on The Late Late Show with James Corden on the Oct. 26 episode. “That’s a great question,” James Corden says laughing while Jeffrey Dean Morgan cracks up next to him.
“I’d have to say… I would have me some Phoebe. She’s very bendy!” Yes, he picked Joey’s BFF and used a quote from the show.
Over the years, many Friends fans have wondered why Phoebe and Joey never hooked up; while Chandler and Monica got married and Ross and Rachel were on again at the end, Phoebe ended up with Mike while Joey was stag. They may have kissed a few times through the series, but nothing more ever happened although they seemed like a perfect match.
“Towards the end we actually pitched the idea that Joey and Phoebe had been having casual sex the entire time,” Matt recently told People magazine. “We’d go back and shoot all the historical scenes and just before a moment that everyone recognizes, there’s Joey and Phoebe coming out of a broom closet together. But they were like, ‘Nah.’”
He also told the magazine that Lisa is “very ticklish,” which he clearly knew because they were close. “Do you know how many times I told Matt, ‘I am going to hurt you,’ and he would just laugh and keep doing it,” she said.
Who else would absolutely want to see more of them — maybe even tickling each other? I mean look at this chemistry. Yes, they’ve kissed many times over the span of the show.
