Bio:
Laith Al-Saadi (born in 1978 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) is an American musician and guitarist who sings blues and jazz music. He showed interest in music at an early age, joining the Boys’ Choir of Ann Arbor at just four years old, and learning to play guitar when he was only 13. Because his dad only listened to Arabic classical music, he didn’t have a chance to really explore other genres until his parents divorced, which is when he discovered a love for popular songs from the 60s and 70s. He played in his high school’s jazz band and joined a local blues band, who he toured with, when he was 15. Laith graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Jazz Guitar and Bass and became the lead singer of the Detroit Lions’ pep band. He’s worked as a full-time musician since college, opening for singers like B.B. King, and releasing albums in 2005, 2008 and 2013. Laith became a contestant on Season 10 of The Voice in 2016, choosing Adam Levine as his coach. He made it to the Top 4 of the highly competitive season.
