We don’t want to be anything other than what we’ve been trying to be lately, and that’s just a die hard ‘One Tree Hill’ fan. OK, if we’re being totally honest, we’ve ALWAYS been a super fan of the CW series. So when stars James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray reunited on Nov. 12, we nearly lost our minds!
Nathan Scott is turning in his basketball for a headset. James Lafferty revealed on Aug. 25 that he’s actually stepping behind the camera, alongside ‘One Tree Hill’ creator, Mark Schwahn on ‘The Royals!’
James Lafferty may not have been at the One Tree Hill reunion in Montreal last weekend, but it looks like he had a really good reason to miss it. He was in the director’s chair in London, next to Mark Schwahn! We could not be more excited…
Warning: Don’t read this post until you’ve watched the ‘One Tree Hill’ series finale. It contains so many beautiful spoilers.
Mark Schwahn told me he wanted to make the series finale feel like “a quintessential One Tree Hill episode,” and that’s exactly what he delivered April 4: introspective voiceovers, unforgettable performances, and a look into the future that wrapped up nine years of story into an hour-long love letter to the fans of “the little show that could.”
Dan finally earns his son’s love & gets a surprise visitor from ‘Tree Hill’ past! This was the most emotional episode of the season.
Jamie’s (Jackson Brundage) words “He’ll be alright, he’s Grandpa Dan,” echoed throughout the hospital on the March 21 episode of One Tree Hill, as everyone came together after Dan (Paul Johansson) took a a bullet for Nathan (James Lafferty).
Fans of Nathan Scott found out they can all rest easy — for now!
Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) was called down to the morgue to identify a body believed to be Nathan (James Lafferty) on the Feb. 29 episode of One Tree Hill — but those tears we saw in the previews turned out to be tears of joy, because Nathan was NOT in the body bag! In her desperate state, Haley even did the unthinkable and turned to Dan Scott (Paul Johannson) for help solve the mystery of her husband’s disappearance. It’s safe to say that hell has frozen over.
Let’s get real for a second: Someone’s about to be fixing cars with Uncle Keith in heaven.
As the final season of One Tree Hill marches on, we’re slowly getting explanations for the shocking flash-forward sequence seen on the premiere — and on the Feb. 29 episode, we’ll finally figure out whose corpse Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) has to identify at the morgue! So who does the mystery body belong to? To figure that out, we’ll have to play my favorite game ever: Tree Hill Corpse Roulette! (Actually, that’s my second favorite game. My first is Dream Phone.)
Nathan’s new foe makes Nanny Carrie look like Mother Teresa! We’re kind of worried.
On the Feb. 15 episode of One Tree Hill, viewers finally found out where Nathan (James Lafferty) is — sort of. It turns out he’s been kidnapped! Also, people in Europe take basketball way too seriously. Apparently, Nathan tried to sign a player who was the “property” of someone else. (It’s just a sport. Winning isn’t everything, remember?!) Unfortunately, his family and friends back in Tree Hill are still left in the dark.
James Lafferty tells HollywoodLife.com about the ‘bad situation’ Nathan gets into & reveals his favorite storyline from the series.
The final season of One Tree Hill is going to be an intense one for all of our favorite characters, but it sounds like Nathan (James Lafferty) is going to have a particularly rough go of things. And since we’ve all heard the rumors about his mysterious disappearance from Tree Hill, HollywoodLife.com couldn’t help but ask him for more details.
“Nathan gets into a situation where he’s powerless to control his fate, which is not something he’s used to dealing with,” James tells us. “It’s probably his biggest test yet.”
Sex, corpses, and endless emotional montages — Tree Hill hasn’t changed one bit!
One Tree Hill returned for its ninth and final season Jan. 11, and it was all sunshine and rainbows from start to finish — well, as long as you don’t count the arson, vandalism, arrests, assaults and dead bodies. I almost forgot about those.
HollywoodLife.com took a trip to Tree Hill, and it sounds like the show’s ninth season might just be its craziest yet!
Well, kids, the day we’ve looked forward to — and also dreaded — is almost here. The final season of One Tree Hill premieres at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Jan. 11) on The CW, and I was fortunate enough to be on the show’s Wilmington, N.C., set to get the scoop straight from the stars! Bethany Joy Galeotti sums the whole thing up pretty nicely (“near death experiences, jealousy, psychotic breakdowns, post-traumatic stress”), but let’s see what the other residents of Tree Hill have to say about what they’ll be up to during the show’s final run.
Plus, Sophia Bush weighs in on Brooke’s dad’s highly-anticipated arrival! What kind of drama do you think he’ll bring to Tree Hill?
There are a few more familiar faces returning for One Tree Hill‘s ninth, and final, season — plus a few new ones! Warner Bros. has confirmed that, not only will Barbara Alyn Woods reprise her role as Nathan’s (James Lafferty) pill-popping cougar mom Deb for one episode, but Richard Burgi will also recur as Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) oft-discussed-but-never-seen father!
This is purely speculation on my part, but hey, stranger things have happened in Tree Hill! (Crazy nanny in a cornfield, anyone?)
Though One Tree Hill‘s ninth, and final, season will feature the return of some old favorites — Dan Scott, Chris Keller, etc. — it was officially announced Aug. 4 at the Critics Television Association’s summer tour that Nathan (James Lafferty) will only be around for “multiple” episodes. How do YOU think they’ll explain his absence? Let the wild speculation begins!
The show hasn’t been picked up for the fall 2011 season yet. Do you think it deserves a last-minute renewal?
Many CW viewers breathed a sigh of relief April 26 when the network announced the renewal of five hit series — but the news wasn’t quite as hopeful for One Tree Hill fans, whose favorite show remains very much on the bubble. As a longtime fan myself, I have to say I’d be pretty bummed if these next three episodes also turn out to be the last. I’m not ready to say goodbye to the group of madcap southerners who taught me so much about life. And actually made me care about basketball.
An otherwise so-so season finale was totally saved by the last 10 minutes full of crazy twists!
SPOILER ALERT! If you haven’t seen the May 17 season finale of One Tree Hill, STOP READING! I had the pleasure of live-tweeting the madness for HollywoodLife.com, and I’d still appreciate someone helping me pick my jaw up off the floor. There’s no way this show isn’t going to get picked up for at least half a season in the fall — there’s WAY too much story left to tell. Click to find out what happened last night & VOTE!
Last week, we asked our readers which CW show they most wanted to see renewed for next season, and their answer came through loud and clear: One Tree Hill!
“This show has changed my life time and time again,” commenter Amanda P. writes. “I feel like it got me through some of the hardest years of my life.” That’s just one of the many statements we’ve received from outraged One Tree Hill fans. Devoted followers have been with the show for seven years now, and they’re not ready to say goodbye. Read more
