We’re sure Mrs. Swift doesn’t want Cory’s bad-boy ways rubbing off on her innocent daughter!
Cory Monteith plays a clean-cut, All-American teen jock on FOX’s Glee, but the 27-year-old was anything but in his own teen days. “I dropped out of school when I was 14 to go f**k around with my friends and live a lifestyle of crime and pay no mind to authority figures,” Cory tells the April 2010 issue of Rolling Stone. Wow, that’s quite a confession. Taylor Swift, do you think your mom would approve of you dating Cory after he dropped this bombshell? Click here to read more & vote!

A new report reveals that anyone in the Idol top 5 is guaranteed big bucks!
Regardless of how we feel about this season’s American Idol finalists, five of them are guaranteed to walk away from the competition with pretty hefty wallets, according to a new report from The New York Times. Citing a contract signed during last season’s competition and filed in the state court of Los Angeles, the Times reports that last season’s winner, Kris Allen, earned $650,000 from his time on Idol. And sources close to Idol say that no previous winner has earned less than $1 million within a year of winning, after tallying performance fees and royalties from merchandise sold during the American Idol summer tours. And the rest of the top five Idol finalists don’t do too badly, either. The Times says this season’s top five are expected to earn about $100,000 from their time on the show, and up to four times that much if the show offers them a record deal. As a consolation prize, everyone else in the top 12 is guaranteed at least several thousand dollars. Read more
Did most of the top 12 boys choke, or are our expectations just too high?
After suffering through disappointing performances from the top 12 girls on American Idol, we finally got a chance to watch the guys take the stage last night, and the results were… slightly less disappointing. Though there were a few standout performances (big ups to Casey James and Joe Muñoz) we couldn’t help but long for the boys of season eight: Where were the Adam Lamberts? The Kris Allens? We’d even settle for another Matt Giraud! Todrick Hall, 24, set the tone for the evening by butchering Kelly Clarkson‘s “Since U Been Gone” with an awkward R&B rendition that just didn’t work. Even 20-year-old Tyler Grady (who we love) put on a lackluster performance of The Guess Who‘s “American Woman.” The judges agreed his ’70s rocker vibe is too cliché and it feels forced. Tyler told Ryan Seacrest he may have to take a trip to the mall to change his image — and we can’t wait to see to see what he comes up with! Read more & tell us what YOU thought!
The voice actress thinks Sarah needs to lighten up! Who do YOU agree with?
Sarah Palin made a big stink earlier this week about the Feb. 14 Family Guy episode that featured a character with Down syndrome. In the episode, the character says her mom is the former governor of Alaska — clearly a reference to Sarah’s son Trig, who also has Down syndrome. Now the voice actress, 39-year-old Andrea Fay Friedman, is speaking out in support of the episode! “I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor,” Andrea writes in an e-mail to the New York Times. “I thought the line … was very funny. I think the word is ‘sarcasm.’ In my family, we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.” Read more & vote!
Did you think the AI judges sent some of the wrong people packing? Simon admits that he may have been a little hasty with his snap decisions!
The last thing we’d ever expect from the uber-cocky (and nearly always correct) Simon Cowell is that he – well – sometimes may get it wrong. But a miracle has occurred, and the over-confident American Idol judge has finally admitted that he doesn’t always make the right decision when choosing American Idol’s top 24 contestants. Gasp!
“You watch it back and you think, ‘You know what? I could have made different decisions here,” Simon, 50, told reporters Feb. 18. “This happens on the shows I do in other countries [too].”
