Here’s some comforting news for all of the new moms out there — not every famous mother in Hollywood managed to lose their baby weight overnight. In fact, model/actress/designer Milla Jovovich, 34, is proud of the fact that it took her about a year to work off the 70 pounds she gained while pregnant with her daughter, Ever, 3. “I took my time with the weight loss,’ says Milla, who ballooned up to almost 200 pounds and credits the Five Factor Diet combined with a lot of good old-fashioned exercise for helping her get her body back in shape. “I didn’t do some rapid juice cleanse. I did well-balanced meals and didn’t eat after 7,” she says.

Who needs the gym? Fitness expert Kathy Kaehler says Ashlee is getting a workout every time she picks up her 2-year-old son, Bronx.
There’s no denying Ashlee Simpson is slim, but when she was asked about it by the LA Daily News, she said it was all because of her son, Bronx Wentz. “I have lots of stairs at my house and my son is 33lb now, so I carry him up the stairs a lot.” Can that really have an effect on your fitness? “It can,” says fitness expert, author and mother of three, Kathy Kaehler. “It’s a way you can add resistance to any type of movement during the day. You are going to burn more.” In fact it’s a lot like weight training, because as the baby grows you are increasing your strength and endurance.

Kale soup loving and super short short wearing mother of two Gwyneth Paltrow is doing the press rounds again and talking about — wait for it — her weight! “After my first pregnancy, the weight had come off a little bit better but after the second one it was really stubborn. It was really hanging on,” the actress told the Press Association. “It was not easy and, when I started it, it was by far the hardest thing I have ever done – but I really was seeing results so it motivated me to just work through it.” Good news though, Gwyneth says you can lose all your extra weight too!
