NBC just released their fall 2016 schedule and the ‘Cruel Intentions’ reboot series, fronted by returning star Sarah Michelle Gellar, is nowhere to be seen. The network says they’re ‘still discussing’ the option of picking it up, but I don’t like what I’m hearing. In fact, I’m outraged. Here’s why.
NBC is struggling to find a place on its roster for the Cruel Intentions reboot series, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The network released its fall 2016 schedule on May 15, and the show didn’t make the cut. Instead, the lineup is cluttered with a bunch of unnecessary Chicago-based spinoffs. If NBC doesn’t end up giving Cruel Intentions an official series order, I think they’re making a HUGE mistake.
When SMG died her hair dark, we knew Kathryn was back — but now, it’s real. She just showed the first set pic on Instagram, and we’re so ready for ‘Cruel Intentions’ to return.
The Cruel Intentions TV show is officially underway at NBC, and while it’s set to focus on Sebastian’s son, we know that Kathryn Merteuil is also back, and that means hello Sarah Michelle Gellar. On March 7, the 38-year-old shared a behind the scenes pic on set of the reboot, and we have to say, she hasn’t aged a day!
Sarah Michelle Gellar is ready for the ‘Cruel Intentions’ TV show! She celebrated the 17th anniversary of the movie hitting theaters AND dyed her hair back brown to become the evil Kathryn again. Click to see the PIC!
Aw! Sarah Michelle Gellar, 38, celebrated the 17th anniversary of the movie Cruel Intentions on March 5 by getting ready for the TV reboot series! SMG is transforming herself into the seductive Kathryn once again — and she started by dyeing her hair back brown!
I could sing Uncle Jesse’s ‘Forever’ in my sleep; I’m dying to know who Rory ends up with; and honestly, I wasn’t sure if I still believed without Mulder and Scully. But even I am ready to throw in the overused towel.
How much is too much? Well, this is it. It seems that as a TV writer, every day there is news breaking of a new TV show being remade or rebooted — either the original cast is coming back and picking up where they left off, or a whole new group is taking on the original story. Either way, the ideas are still one thing: old.
It’s actually happening! Sarah Michelle Gellar just confirmed that she will, in fact, be reprising her ‘Cruel Intentions’ role for the NBC reboot, which was recently picked up to pilot. See her insane announcement here!
We’re so dead right now. After weeks of negotiations, Sarah Michelle Gellar has finally agreed to reprise her role from 1999’s Cruel Intentions as the female lead in NBC’s followup series based on the movie.
You guys, ‘Cruel Intentions’ could be coming to your living room. NBC is currently working on making the film that made everyone fall in love with… SMG, Ryan Philippe, Reese and pretty much everyone else in the movie, a TV show.
In a world of revivals and reboots, it doesn’t come as a surprise that NBC is trying again — this time with 1999’s Cruel Intentions. The film’s director and writer Roger Kumble will take a modern spin on the film, which we know is still a hit after 16 years. When it was made into a musical last summer, the original Annette, Katherine and Cecile attended! Selma Blair, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Reese Witherspoon all would definitely approve.
What happens with the original cast of ‘Cruel Intentions’ attends the musical version? A reenactment of Selma Blaire & Sarah Michelle Gellar’s epic kiss, that’s what.
It was a fun night at the May 28 performance Cruel Intentions the Musical in LA! Not only did the original Annette, Katherine and Cecile attend the sold out show, but they did one of their own. Yes, below you will see Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar reenacting that epic kiss that happened in the park — while Reese Witherspoon awkwardly looks on. (So Annette of her!)
Dead. A majority of the cast from the best ’90s movie ever, ‘Cruel Intentions,’ reunited for a fun night out in LA on May 28. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair attended a showing of ‘Cruel Intentions the Musical,’ and took photos! See them here.
Reese Witherspoon, 39, posted pics of a May 28 adventure with her former Cruel Intentions co-stars, Selma Blair, 42, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, 38, calling it the “best girls night of the year!” The ladies staged an epic reunion of the best ’90s movie ever when they attended a showing of Cruel Intentions the Musical in Los Angeles.
