CeeLo Green, 39, took to Twitter, Sept.3, and told his over 1.9 million followers that he “deeply” apologizes for the comments he made about rape. So here’s what happened, in 2012, CeeLo was alleged to have given a woman ecstasy and she claims he raped her. CeeLo was acquitted of the sexual assault charges, Aug. 29, and that’s when he took to Twitter to joke about rape.
On Sept. 29, CeeLo Green, 39, plead no contest to a felony drug charge stemming from a 2012 incident during which he gave ecstacy to a 33-year-old woman. She claimed that he raped her, but CeeLo skated on that charge, later allegedly tweeting that it’s not rape if the woman is unconscious. Seriously! See his shocking tweets below.
We’ve known for a while now that CeeLo Green is not returning to The Voice for Season 7, and now we know Pharrell Williams will be filling the spot in his red chair. We can’t wait to see the Happy singer push his button, and we’ve got to wonder, will a new judge also be sitting in Christina Aguilera‘s seat?
