Get ready to relive ‘Groundhog Day’– over and over again! On Apr. 2 it was confirmed that the Bill Murray film will be reimagined and brought to the Broadway stage as a musical! So, will the original star reprise his role?
Groundhog Day is heading to Broadway in 2017! Groundhog Day is heading to Broadway in 2017! Groundhog Day is heading to Broadway in 2017! Okay, that was a lame joke, but it was necessary. The 1993 classic Groundhog Day, about a man who is forced to relive the same day over and over again, will hit the Great White Way in a couple of years. Bill Murray, of course, originally played that ill-fated fellow, and we have to wonder, will the iconic actor reprise his role on stage?

HollywoodLife.com spoke with an eyewitness who said the 24-year-old actress and her boyfriend, Theo Stockman, were inconsiderate audience members when they saw the musical Hair on Broadway July 13.

I saw the Spider-Man musical — which is the talk of Broadway for all the wrong reasons – and trust me when I say you should do anything you can to see this Broadway spectacular!
Surrounded by technical issues, stuntman injuries and costly delays, the upcoming Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark may have put a bad taste in many people’s mouths. However, after seeing a preview performance Dec. 29, I can tell you the show’s imagination, outside the box thinking and flying Spider-Man fun is a complete joy for anyone spending a night on Broadway!
The latest tragedy — a performer fell 30 feet — should be last straw for this problem-filled production!
The problems just keep coming for the ‘upcoming’ Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. After a string of troubled performances, poor buzz and increasing budget woes, a massive injury Dec. 20 should be the nail in the coffin for the show.
The New York Post reports stunt double Christopher Tierney was the latest victim of the stunt-filled spectacle, where a fall due to a faulty rope left the aerialist with broken ribs and internal bleeding.
Early reports say Spidey’s Broadway debut needs a lot of work before it’s ready for the public.
With a budget of more than $65 million, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is the most expensive show in Broadway history — and it also might be the most flawed. The Julie Taymor-directed musical had its first preview performance Nov. 28, and although the high-flying acrobatics left young theater-goers enthralled, The New York Times reports that the show was marred with mistakes and actually stopped five times throughout its run of more than three hours.

Did family-friendly CBS want a more toned-down Tony Awards with a ‘no affection’ rule?
Last night’s Tony Awards provided the possibility of seeing one of Hollywood’s most private and red carpet-shy couples, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson, making a seldom-seen public appearance. When Ryan did in fact show up to support his wife, a first-time nominee for A View from the Bridge, it provided the possibility that SHOULD Scarlett manage a win we could see an actual lip lock between the two. Not that we’re voyeurs or anything.
Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber both shine on stage!
Although A View From The Bridge will officially open tonight on Broadway, Hollywoodlife.com got a sneak peek of the Arthur Miller play last week during previews — and we liked what we saw! I didn’t know what to expect considering it was Scarlett Johansson‘s debut on Broadway, however, being paired against the super talented pro Liev Schreiber certainly helped! While Liev, (who plays Eddie, a longshoreman from Red Hook, Brooklyn, who is obsessed with his niece, Catharine (played by Scarlett)), certainly carried the play, Scarlett kept up with him perfectly! The actress turned stage-starlet was composed and well-rehearsed. Scarlett really seemed at home on the set… Read more
Sienna, you should really know by now that Jude Law isn’t going to change!
Sienna Miller, you have so been there, done that with Jude Law. So why are you going back and doing it all over again? Do you think this time he will be different?
You were ENGAGED to Jude in 2006 when he cheated on you with his nanny, Daisy Wright. ENGAGED, Sienna. That’s a pretty big deal. And we know that you were on foreign territory while doing your Broadway play, After Miss Julie, for the past few months, and Jude was close and convenient. But now we’re hearing that you two are really making a go of things again. You’re even reportedly spending Christmas together in the Bahamas!
Soak it all in, Ash — you deserve the applause!
Forget that time she lip-synched on “Saturday Night Live.” Forget that time she was booed at at the Rose Bowl. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz CAN sing live — and you should see her do the Charleston! We were lucky enough to see Ashlee up close at last night’s performance of Chicago on Broadway, and she wowed us from her first wraspy note to her standing ovation-inspiring final bow. Read more
