Bio:
William Shakespeare (born in April 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England) was an English playwright, poet and actor. He is widely considered the greatest playwright of all time. His plays consisted of comedies, tragedies, histories and romances. His most well-known plays include Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He invented over 1,700 words that are still used today. He died on April 23, 1616 at the age of 52. During two periods of his life, researchers are uncertain of what William was up to. These lost years have many convinced that other writers penned some of his plays. In the 400 years since his death, his plays have been adapted numerous times in movies and TV shows.
