Val Chmerkovskiy (born Valentin Aleksandrovich Chmerkovskiy in Odessa, Ukraine on March 24, 1986) is a Ukrainian dancer on Dancing with the Stars. After appearing twice alongside brother Maxsim Chmerkovskiy, he was partnered with Elisabetta Canalis in season 13 — they came in 11th place. season 14, he finished 10th place with Sherri Shepherd, and in season 15, he came in third with Kelly Monaco. Currently, he is competing on season 16, with Zendaya Coleman — the pair received the first perfect score of the season. On Jun. 14 2018, he became engaged to his girlfriend, and fellow Dancing with the Stars co-star, Jenna Johnson.
