Steven Adams (born Steven Funaki Adams on July 20, 1993 in Rotorua, New Zealand) is a New Zealand professional basketball player for Oklahoma City Thunder. Steven grew up in Rotorua, New Zealand. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and played basketball for the Pittsburgh Panthers, and became a top international prospect for the National Basketball Association. He was the 12th overall draft pick for the Thunder in the 2013 NBA draft, making him the first New Zealander to be selected in the first round of an NBA draft.
