Simone Missick (born Simone Cook in Detroit, MI on February 19, 1980) is an American film and TV actress. She plays the lead role of Misty Knight in Marvel’s Luke Cage on Netflix. She is a Howard University graduate with a degree in English and a minor in Theatre Arts. Following graduation she participated in British American Drama Academy in Oxford England. She’s appeared in several short films and TV series. Simone also writes and produces.
