Shane McMahon (born Shane Brandon McMahon in Gaithersburg, Maryland on January 15, 1970) is an American businessman, wrestling executive, and part-time professional wrestler. Shane is also a minority owner of WWE and the vice chairman of YOU On Demand. Shane is a one-time European Champion and a one-time Hardcore Champion as well. By 1998, he had become a front office executive — and later Executive VP of Global Media. As a wrestler, Shane participated in the main event of WrestleMania 2000, as a cornerman for Big Show. Among other recorded victories, Shane holds singles wins over four former WWF/E Champions: Big Show, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and his father Vince. On July 12, 2013, McMahon voluntarily stepped down as CEO of YOU On Demand and appointed Weikang Liu as his successor, while remaining the company’s principal executive officer and Chairman of the Board.
