Bio:
Shain Gandee (born in 1991 in Sissonville, West Virgina) was described by MTV as sociable and loyal. He was his high school’s Prom King, even though he missed the dance because he had to work. Shain’s been a coal miner and a garbage man — as long as he is using his hands, he’s happy. Most recently, he became a reality star with the debut of Buckwild on MTV. Shain loved mudding, hunting and four-wheeling, but most of all he loved his parents, who lived three doors down from him.

Personal Life:
Shain never dated anyone on the reality show, but he expressed interest in a few of the girls, including Cara, Ashley, Shae and Salwa.

Following his sudden and tragic death, MTV aired a ‘Buckwild’ special that honored Shain and showed hilarious unseen moments from his wild and crazy life.
On April 14, 21-year-old Buckwild star Shain Gandee was honored by in a special MTV tribute called “RV To NYC,” following his tragic death two weeks ago. Charlamagne Tha God and Lil Duval from MTV show Guy Code joined Shain and the Buckwild crew in Sissonville, WV, to eat hot dogs, go sledding in a bathtub and have dinner with Shain’s family. Shain truly lived life to the fullest.

After the tragic death of one of the ‘Buckwild’ stars, MTV has decided to officially pull the plug on the hit reality TV series. Do YOU think that’s the right thing to do?
MTV has decided to cancel the hit reality series Buckwild a little more than a week after one of the show’s stars, Shain Gandee, 21, was found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in his Ford Bronco. The show follows a group of kids in rural West Virginia, but production was stopped halfway through filming the second season.

The ‘Buckwild’ star was laid to rest on April 7 following his tragic death, and hundreds of mourners showed up at the Charleston, WV auditorium to pay respects wearing neon ‘Gandee Candee’ shirts. So sad.
On April 7, 21-year-old Buckwild star Shain Gandee was laid to rest after his tragic death on April 1. Shain’s family had requested guests to wear camouflage as a mark of respect to Shain, but instead hundreds of mourners arrived in neon shirts saying “Gandee Candee,’ including Shain’s mother Loretta. Wearing neon pink, Loretta spoke at her son’s funeral and said she knew that he had safely gone to heaven. So sad.
