Although 5-year-old Violet Affleck simply calls her famous parents Mom and Dad, she is starting to understand that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are pretty well-known in Hollywood. “If someone calls me Jennifer Garner, after they leave she’ll say, ‘They didn’t really know you cause you’re Jennifer Affleck,” Jen tells Conan O’Brien on his show. “She really likes to keep that clear to herself.” It must be difficult for little kids to grasp what it means to have famous parents.
A source close to Jennifer Garner tells HollyBaby.com exclusively that Ben Affleck’s bugging her to expand their family. “When Jennifer asked Ben what he wanted for Christmas, he said, ‘Another child,’” shares the insider. But Jen, 38, isn’t exactly jumping at the idea of a third child right now. After all, she’s the one left to take care of Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 23 months, while Ben’s busy acting in and directing film projects. “Jen wants more kids, too. She would have 10 if she could, but they both work a lot and Violet and Seraphina take up a lot of her time as it is with Ben being away all the time.”
It’s finally Jennifer Garner‘s turn enjoy a little personal time while her hubby Ben Affleck takes over daddy duty at home with their two girls, Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2½ — and he’s very excited! “My wife’s going to a movie and then it’s going to be just pure Mr. Mom time!” Ben tells UsMagazine.com. But now that Jen is getting a break from practically being a single mom, when will the couple enjoy quality time together? From the sounds of it — never!
Just a couple days after spending a fun and activity-filled day with both her daughters, Jennifer Garner hung out in Santa Monica, CA, Tuesday afternoon (December 7) with younger daughter Seraphina, who will turn two next month, leaving five-year-old Violet at home. Isn’t it a shame that Jen’s husband Ben Affleck was missing out on another fun-filled day with his family?
A holiday getaway with the Afflecks! Ben Affleck stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (Dec. 1) and shared stories of his Thanksgiving weekend with wife Jennifer Garner and their daughters! “We went to Disneyland, which is a lot of fun,” Ben told Jimmy Kimmel. “They got tea cups, the Dumbo fly. The kids do love it.” Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2½, apparently love the rides that spin them around and around! “My kids have a tolerance for going in circles that I don’t, it nauseates me,” Ben admitted. “My children, at 5, can already do a lot more than I can.” Aww!
Ben Affleck isn’t “capable” of doing the holiday shopping for his family — he leaves that job to his better half, Jennifer Garner! “Because my wife is so capable and because I’m less so, she does a lot of that work, and I kind of root her on. I’m encouraging,” the 38 year-old actor tells Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday (Dec. 1). “I’m not particularly proud of it. But it’s a bit of a ’50s thing, I guess.”
Rumors have been circulating that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been having problems in their marriage. While Ben, 38, has been away filming his new movie with Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem in Oklahoma, Jen, 38, has been staying at home in California, holding down the fort with the couple’s two daughters, Violet (who turns 5 on Dec. 1) and Seraphina, 22 months. But the couple finally got to spend some time together on Sunday (Nov. 28) when Jen brought the girls to meet up with Dad for breakfast at Kay ‘N’ Dave’s restaurant in Santa Monica, CA.
