Scarface (born Brad Terrence Jordan on November 9, 1970 in Houston, Texas) is an American rapper, music producer and author. Scarface grew up in Houston, attending Woodson Middle School. He began his music career under the name DJ Akshen, but adopted the Scarface moniker after pressing a “Scarface/Another Head Put To Rest” 12″-single in 1989. Scarface joined rappers Willie D and Bushwick as the second line-up of the notorious rap group, Geto Boys. The group released their highly successful album, Grip It! On That Other Level in 1989. In 1991, Scarface released his first solo album, Mr. Scarface Is Back. He remained a part of the Geto Boys, despite his rising success as a solo rapper. Scarface has performed alongside other rappers as Tech N9ne, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Ice Cube and the Insane Clown Posse. In September 2015, Scarface released his long delayed album, Deeply Rooted. It featured guest appearances from Nas, Rick Ross, John Legend and Cee-Lo Green. In addition to rapping, Scarface appeared as a pimp in Mike Judge’s movie, Idiocracy. He is also a playable character in the video games, Def Jam Vendetta and Def Jam: Fight For NY.

Personal Life:
Scarface has a son, Brad Jordan, with Melissa Lollis. He was held in jail in Sept. 2010 over failure to pay child support in four different cases. In Oct. 2015, Scarface was arrested over failure to pay child support right after he was honored at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
