Ryan Crouser (born in Boring, Oregon, on December 18, 1992) is an American shot putter and discus thrower. He is the winner of the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympic Gold Medal in shot put. He is a two-time NCAA champion in both, indoor and outdoor shot put. He also won the shot put at the 2009 World Youth Championships.

Ryan Crouser is best known for his multiple championships in shot put. He is most recently known for winning an Olympic gold medal in the 2016 Rio games, where he broke the former Olympic Record to take home the gold.
Personal Life:
Ryan Crouser comes from a family of Olympic throwers, including his father, Mitch Crouser, who was an alternate on the 1984 Olympic discus team, and his uncle, Brian Crouser, who qualified for two Olympic teams in javelin. He has another uncle and two cousins who are also throwers. According to his Twitter account, he is currently based in Austin, TX.
