How do Cosa Nostra members feel about their daughters and wives participating in VH1’s new hit show, Mob Wives? For star Renee Graziano — the fact that she let a TV crew film her life didn’t settle too well with her father Anthony Graziano, onetime consigliere of the Bonanno crime family, who’s behind bars at a federal penitentiary.
VH1’s new hit reality series Mob Wives — which focuses on the lives of Cosa Nostra-related women Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, Drita D’avanzo and Carla Facciolo — is riling up the Italian-American community of Staten Island. “I’ve seen it — It’s disgraceful,” Staten Island’s borough president, James Molinaro, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “It paints Staten Island and Italian-Americans in a bad light.”
The premiere episode of Mob Wives may have shown stars Renee Graziano and Karen Gravano as mortal enemies, but it appears that these days the two are the best of friends! The ladies of Mob Wives appeared on Good Morning America April 20, and Renee sat right next to Karen throughout the entire interview with her arm draped across her back. Looks like all that fighting was just a temporary spat!
Of all the women on VH1’s new show Mob Wives, aka The Real Housewives of Staten Island, Karen Gravano tries to present herself as the most removed from the alleged mafia lifestyle. Ironically however, it appears Karen has a very complicated past, and was arrested as part of a massive ecstasy ring in 2000. It appears Karen has managed to get her hands pretty dirty in the past.
