Minka Kelly (born Minka Dumont Dufay on June 24, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress. Minka’s parents split up when she was young and she was predominantly raised by her mother. The two of them moved frequently. Minka eventually graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque and returned to Los Angeles. While in L.A., Minka began her acting career, debuting as an extra in 2003’s short film introduction to 2 Fast 2 Furious. She followed that up with a handful of small roles in shows like Entourage and Drake & Josh. Her breakout came in 2006, when she joined the cast of Friday Night Lights. In 2009, Minka first appeared on the NBC drama, Parenthood and she would return for nine episodes over the next two years. In 2011, she was named “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire. Minka was cast in the 2011 reboot of Charlie’s Angels, but the series was cancelled after one episode. Minka appeared in 2011’s The Roomate, a cult horror movie that has since gained a following. Minka appeared as Valerie Stahl in the series Almost Human in 2013. Despite positive reviews for the sci-fi show, it was cancelled after one season.

Minka is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarists, Rick Dufay. From 2008 to 2011, she dated baseball player Derek Jeter. They reunited briefly in 2012 before splitting for good. In 2012, Minka began a relationship with Chris Evans. The two announced their split in October 2013. She reportedly went on a date with Sean Penn in 2015, shortly after his announced separation from Charlize Theron.
