Mendeecees HarrisĀ (born October 26, 1978 in Harlem, New York) is an American entrepreneur and music manager. While growing up without a farther in New York City, Mendeecees worked in real estate before launching his career in music management and fashion. He started up Beat Factory, a popular music-recording studio in the Bronx. He entered the spotlight when he appeared with his wife, Yandy Smith, on the VH1 reality television show, Love & Hip Hop. He had a recurring role on Seasons 3, 5 and 6. Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in prison in Dec. 2015 for drug trafficking. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess heroin and cocaine. Mendeecees’s brother, Tyler, also pleaded guilty to the crime. In addition to the jail sentence, MendeeeceesĀ has to pay back the $171, 000 he made while starring on Love & Hip Hop,Ā while also giving up his R8 Audi.

Personal Life:
Mendeecees is Panamanian. He met his future wife, Yandy, while she was working as a music executive. Their relationship was featured on Love and Hip Hop andĀ the two were married in a live televised ceremony in 2015. The couple has two children together: a daughter, Skylar, and a son, Omere. Mendeecees also has two sons from previous relationships.Ā Prior to his jail sentence, Mendeecees regularly spoke to groups of disadvantaged children and teens in New York City and along the East Coast, helping to inspire them to steer clear of trouble.
