He met his bandmates in 2001 at Wilmslow High School in Manchester. He is credited with coming up with the band name. The 1975 has released four EPs, and their self-titled debut album, released on Sept. 2, 2013, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The band has toured internationally since forming.
