Matt Skiba (born Matthew Thomas Skiba, in Chicago, Illinois on February 24, 1976) ) is an American musician. At an early age he began playing the piano and drums and went on to form the band Alkaline Trio in 1996. In 2001 Matt did his first full solo tour with The Plea For Peace Tour. In 2002 was his first solo release, followed by performing five shows with Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music in 2007. His second full length solo album, Babylon, was released in May 2012. It was announced in Jan. 2015 that he would be joining the rock group Blink 182.

Best Known For:
Matt is best known for being the co-vocalist and guitarist of the band Alkaline Trio.

Personal Life:
Matt is a vegetarian and practices Transcendental Meditation. He is divorced from his ex-wife Monica Parker.
