Marco Rubio (born Marco Antonio Rubio in Miami, Florida on May 28, 1971) is a Florida Senator and member of the Republican Party. He graduated from the University of Miami’s Law School and was elected Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in 2007. Marco is currently one of three Latinos in the Senate along with Ted Cruz of Texas. On April 13, 2015 he announced he was running for President of the United Staes. After disappointing results in the primaries, including losing his home state of Florida to Donald Trump, Marco suspended his campaign on March 15, 2016.

Marco married Jeanette Dousdebes in 1998, she’s a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader. Together they have four children and they live in Miami, Florida.
