Malachi Kirby (born in London, England on [September 20, 1989) is a British actor who is set to star inThe History Chanel’s miniseries, Roots. Prior to landing the lead role in the television reboot, Malachi, who also goes by Kirby, stared in a number of television series that aired in the U.K. Kirby also played in EastEnders and Doctor Who, and scored minor roles in feature films including Gone Too Far, My Murder, and My Brother the Devil.

Best Known For:
Malachi Kirby is best known for his upcoming role as Kunta Kinte in The History Chanel’s miniseries, Roots. The series,  which is based on Alex Haley’s novel, is set to air on May 30.
