Lena Headey, AKA Cersei Lannister, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on June 16 to give the people what they want — more Game Of Thrones. Cersei Lannister may not be everyone’s favorite character, but there’s no denying that she’s spectacularly good at two things: drinking wine out of goblets, and making cutting remarks. Watch Cersei and Jimmy Kimmel have an insult-off!
It’s fair to say that Game Of Thrones is known for its shock factor as much as it’s known for dragons. Well, on the May 4 episode — “The First Of His Name” — the most shocking moment was probably when Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) had not one, but two perfectly lovely conversations with Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and Prince Oberyn (Pedro Pascal) — people she considers to be her enemies. She even acknowledged Joffrey’s violent shortcomings! Were we in Bizarro Westeros? Or is Cersei just lying in wait?
The beauty transformations on Game of Thrones are so impressive! Who knew Cersei and Daenerys both had dark hair in real life? One of our favorite hairstylists, Mark Townsend, styled Lena Headey‘s gorgeous waves — get the exact look right here!
At the 65th Emmy Awards on Sept. 23, Lena Headey, 39, worked the red carpet in a sheer, black lace dress designed by Alessandra Rich. The Game of Thrones star let her body do the talking as she donned a pair of high-waisted, black briefs and nothing else underneath the exposing dress. We also got to see a change of hair color on our favorite evil queen! Her dark chocolate, brown tresses were pulled back in a romantic chignon that left some of her bangs sweeping across her piercing eyes. She complimented her modern look with Tina Thor jewels and a pair of sleek, white Lamb heels.
Does anyone know of a good therapist in Westeros? Because after the April 28 episode of Game Of Thrones, I’m pretty sure everyone in the Lannister family could use one. In an attempt to stop the Tyrells from “stealing” the North from him, Tywin proposed — OK, more like ordered — that Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) marry Sansa (Sophie Turner), and that Cersei (Lena Headey) give her hand to Loras. Yeah, that Loras. The gay one.
Lena Headey is claiming to a judge that she is flat out broke and pleading for at least $6,000 from her divorced husband, Peter Loughran.
Everybody has their favorite Game of Thrones character: There’s Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), the mother of dragons; Jon Snow (Kit Harington), the “bastard”; or even Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), the mean girl of King’s Landing. Yes, you’ve seen your favorite characters a thousand times — but have you ever seen them in real life? You might be surprised to learn just how different they look.
