Kyle Mooney (born Kyle James Kozub Mooney on September 4, 1984 in San Diego, California) is an American actor, comedian and writer. Kyle was voted “most likely to become a T.V. star” by his Marshal Middle school class, and he followed these interests in High School. Kyle won Best Actor for his role in the Scripps Ranch High School production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. He studied film at the University of Southern California, and developed his stills at improve comedy with the sketch-improv troupe Commedus Interruptus. In 2007, Kyle, Beck Bennet and Nick Rutherford formed the sketch comedy group, Good Neighbor. The team’s YouTube channel was featured on New Media Rockstars’ Top 100 Channels in 2014. In 2013, Kyle made his debut on Saturday Night Live. He has brought some of his YouTube characters to the long-running sketch comedy show, including Chris Fitzpatrick, Todd from Inside SoCal and Bruce Chandling. Kyle has also been a writer for Nathan for You, and has appeared on Parks and Recreation, Comedy Bang Bang!, Hello Ladies, and Drunk History. He also appeared in movies like Hello, My Name Is Doris and The Party Is Over.

Kyle is the youngest of three children. His mother was a reporter for the San Diego Union and his father is an environmental consultant and planner. In 2015, Kyle launched the D and K Podcast, an Instagram account about a podcast, with Dave McCary.
