His career started when he joined the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That as an original cast member, and he later graduated to Saturday Night Live as a cast member. He also starred on the sitcom Kenan & Kel and in the films Good Burger and Fat Albert. Thompson currently stars on SNL, where he holds the record for most celebrity impressions performed on the show.
