Joe Cocker (born John Robert Cocker, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England on May 20, 1944) was an English rock and blues singer. He was known for his unique gritty voice, and his very particular body movements during his performances. He also was known for covering numerous hit songs, particularly singles from the Beatles. He went on to cover the Beatles song, “With A Little Help From My Friends” for the theme song to the TV series The Wonder Years. It also hit number one in the U.K. in November 1968. Joe died of lung cancer on the 22nd of December 2014 in Crawford, Colorado
