Ingvar Kamprad (born Ingvar Feodor Kamprad on March 30, 1926 in Almhult, Sweden) is a Swedish business mogul. Known for creating the furniture conglomerate IKEA, Ingvar has worked his way from nothing to being one of the wealthiest people in the world, now worth over $3 billion. Growing up in a time that his region of Sweden was relatively poor, he began his entrepreneurship at only 10 years old by selling anything from Christmas decorations to pencils. After being gifted a small amount of money from his father at age 17, he founded IKEA, which stands for Ingvar Kamprad from Elmtaryd, Agunnaryd. Because of his low-income upbringing, he was determined to make IKEA affordable to the masses while still making stylish furniture. He endured many ups and downs along the way, but his perseverance has resulted in more than 300 IKEA stores in 38 countries around the world. On Nov.2, 2015, Ingvar made headlines for paying income tax, as it was his first time doing so since 1973 despite being a billionaire.

Personal Life:
After ending his first marriage to Kerstin Wadling in 1960, Ingvar married his second wife, Margaretha Kamprad-Stennert. The two remained married until her death in 2011. He adopted his daughter, Annika, with Kerstin and had three sons, Peter, Jonas, and Mathias, with Margaretha. In March 2014, Ingvar moved back his native province of Småland in Sweden after living away for nearly 40 years. He reportedly still resides there.
