Herman Echevarria (born Herman Echevarria Sr. in Cuba in 1955) was a Miami-based businessman and politician. Echevarria starred as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Miami, alongside his wife of the time, Alexia Echevarria. The pair founded Venue magazine together, but went on to separate in 2015. He was also chairman and CEO of BVK/Meka, an international marketing and communications firm based in Miami. Herman served as a council member of Miami town Hialeah for 12 years, and was well-known as a community leader. He had accumulated a net worth of $30 million through his many ventures. He was found dead at age 61, in a Miami hotel. The cause of death was not immediately known at the time.
